It is Finally Here..Snails Releases New Remix Album "The Shell: Remixes"
About time Snails, we feel like we have been waiting on this for a whole year. Enjoying our weekend we finally have the latest remix album, The Shell: Remixes, from MiR favorite Snails. Snails is clearly a performer that has no limits, as he has been able to garner support from powerhouses such as Diplo and Skrillex for his continuously developing “vomit-step” style. While Snails has been busy trying to find a home for his style, even jumping over to Dim Mak and Monstercat, Snails was quietly launching Slugz with a bang. Why struggle while looking for a home and not create one yourself.
“It’s finally here!!! So excited to finally share “The Shell: Remixes” album featuring some of the best and my favorite artists in electronic music right now, out now on Slugz Music. Every remix received it’s own unique twist and is about to destroy the dancefloor and your speakers!” – Snails
While we wouldn’t say that bass music is our favorite genre in electronic music, Snails definitely has fought to change our minds with this one. Having recruited the best of the best in today’s bass music industry, Snails showcases ten incredible remixes of each of The Snails original ten tracks. While there are many stand out remixes on the album, such as Kill the Noise “Only want U” and Mastadon’s remix of “The King is Back”, our favorite is Soltan’s remix of “Into the Light”. The track easily lights up the dancefloor with its heavy bass, but also the slow guitar picking creates an almost ethereal feeling that we can’t seem to shake…not like we want to anyway.
Also, did you hear that Snails is going on tour? He kicked off his The Shell 2.0 tour in North America at the Red Rock Amphitheater. The venue is planned as the perfect stage to finally unveil The Shell: Remixes to the world. The tour will be lasting for 52 dates so far, so keep an eye on the tour announcement to see if Snails is coming to a city near you.
