SEX FACES (DC) Channel Raw Energy into New LP BAD VIBES OST (Slovenly Recs) & Announce Tour Dates

SEXFACES emerge from the gritty, buzzing underbelly of Washington DC with their debut full-length BAD VIBES OST, dropping May 2025 on Slovenly Records. This 11-track record is a relentless, no-fluff blast of punk nihilism, recorded and mixed by Dan Angel and produced by Ben Schurr. Fueled by Jacky Cougar’s furious drumming, Sal Go’s bratty yet brutal guitar, Hana Racecar’s sneering viola, and FiFi Allin’s punchy bass, the band crafts a sound that drags Velvet Underground’s droney chaos through the gutter, sharpens it with The Fall’s acerbic wit, and hits hard with the punk ferocity of The Damned and Royal Trux’s scuzzy swagger.

Accompanied by a jagged, visually striking video directed by Jonathan Howard, BAD VIBES OST channels raw urgency and defiant energy, embodying SEXFACES’ refusal to play by the rules. This record is a brutal, beautiful manifesto for the disaffected and restless—an unfiltered soundtrack for anyone tired of sanitized music and ready for a wild, chaotic ride. SEXFACES don’t ask for your approval—they demand your attention.

SEXFACES deliver a full-noise, zero-fluff explosion of raw punk energy with their debut album BAD VIBES OST, building on the momentum of their Young Team EP. Recorded with Dan Angel and mastered by Jim Diamond, the record blends noisy garage, no-wave pop, and post-punk snarl into a relentless, high-volume assault. Tracks like “Ultraviolence” capture the intense emotional turmoil of flashbacks and coping with trauma, while the feminist fire of “Can’t Do That” and the acid-inspired “S.C.U.M” showcase the band’s sharp, confrontational edge—mixing personal stories with broader social rage.

Behind the chaos lie vivid tales and irreverent humor: Jacky’s misheard Lemmy anecdote inspiring a song title, Pacino’s wild relationship stories fueling “Johnny and Moz,” and the pointed attacks on real-life villains in “Comfort Man” and “Special/Lame,” even featuring a painfully offbeat flute solo from producer Ben’s dad. BAD VIBES OST is a fiercely personal and uncompromising statement—rough, unapologetic, and impossible to ignore.
