Ravenscoon is an External Force, Molding and Manipulating Bass in New “Inertia” EP

When an artist like, Ravenscoon kicks down our front door, we are willingly unprepared for anything he has in store. On our latest visit over to Wakaan we are checking out Inertia, the brand new EP from Ravenscoon. Born in Georgia but now based in San Francisco, CA, Paul Conversano’s love of electronic music continues to flourish with whatever genre he happens to dive into that day. While he has become known for combining elements of hip-hop, punk rock, and death metal through the medium of experimental bass, no genre stone goes unturned once Ravenscoon steps into the booth. While this unique blend can be found in his original works, his highly popular mixtape series allows him to flow in and out of genres with ease. Already making a statement this early on in his career, Ravenscoon has no plans of slowing down and we take the industry by force.

With plenty of successful releases and many major festival appearances slotted into his increasingly busy schedule, 2022 is definitely going to be Ravenscoon’s year.  Experimenting with the core concept of Inertia, or a property of matter that exists in a state of rest unless altered by an external force, Ravenscoon showcases just how much of an external force he can be on his musical canvas. Manipulating soundwaves into a constant state of flux, Ravenscoon carefully crafts a familiar yet experimental soundscape for him and fellow bassheads to lose themselves in on their next exploration. Using aggressive yet rhythmic basslines as his core tool, each of Inertia’s six tracks displays a different result…a different facet of the Ravenscoon formula. When we are finally able to snag a chance to catch Ravenscoon during one of his energetic live performances, we know that any track off of Inertia will be a showstopper.
