Protocol Veterans Timmo Hendriks x Marcus Santoro Collab on Dance Pop Single “Salvation”
When two of Protocol’s mainstays return for a collab, we have to stop and take a listen. On our latest visit over to Protocol we are checking out “Salvation”, the latest single from Timmo Hendriks and Marcus Santoro. Debuting on the label in 2016, Timmo collaborated with Lindequist on “Ziema” their best-selling song to date These Dutch producers may just be up and comers, but they are making serious waves with their high energy production. Timmo will continue to support the main roster and you should keep him on your radar. We were major fans of Timmo and Jordan Grace’s previous collaboration on “Memories“, but the more we explore Timmo’s discography the more he is quickly becoming a Modern Neon favorite. We feature plenty of artists from Protocol Recordings, yet almost every time we cover a Timmo Hendriks drop we are in for a surprising treat.
Since originally joining the scene, Santoro has released multiple tracks and remixes on the Enhanced, Armada, and Flashover labels finally settling in with Protocol. Since joining Protocol back in 2019, Santoro has attributed his talents to the rest of the Protocol roster, making his style know to the masses. We have already experienced Santoro’s latest EP and his career has only kickstarted since then. This latest single shows he has no plans of putting the breaks on his momentum, pushing forward to ascend his career to the next level.
After covering Protocol for a major part of our publication’s life, we come to know a handful of producers within their roster that we can constantly turn to for updated bangers. However, every so often these producers surprise us, much like this time with Hendriks and Santoro. Stepping out of their comfort zones and away from their core styles, both Hendriks and Santoro show their softer sides in their latest collab. Recruiting the likes of Able Faces to provide the perfect vocal sample, Hendriks and Santoro meld the softer elements of their styles into a dance-pop amalgamation that gives us a positive message and chills at the same time. While this the first time that Hendriks and Santoro have partnered up with Protocol, we certainly hope it won’t be the last. The dynamic range of these two veterans when paired together has barely been scratched, their is so much more than needs to be explored.
