Once you’ve been known as a veteran of your home label, you better be prepared to take your sound to the next level. This time we are heading on over to Protocol Recordings for “Burn”, the latest single from Marc Benjamin and Victor Tellagio. Marc Benjamin has been flourishing on the Protocol stage for quite some time now, showcasing his impeccable taste of brilliant productions. Benjamin brings his impeccable taste and knowledge in production to the Protocol team, which is always a valued asset. Our veteran this time around, Marc Benjamin, decided to make his comeback on Protocol for the single reason, to flourish on the Protocol stage. While Nicky Romero led Protocol Recordings has always been on the front lines of showcasing upcoming music artists, it’s refreshing to see even Protocol breaking their protocol to try something a bit more unique.
While 2020 has made sure that we can’t celebrate our summers in a normal fashion, it doesn’t mean that we still can’t embrace those midsummer vibes. His 9th official release on the Protocol imprint, “Burn” is a bit of a departure from Marc’s familiar sty;e, highlighting the newer big room progressive streak that he’s currently running. Expressing his dynamic range, Marc moves progressive melodies up in the foreground, letting the larger than life bass and emotive vocals wrap up the entire package. An audible version of the rise of a phoenix, “Burn” oozes feelings of reinvention and drive, expressing the diligence of humans when the world is resetting around them. Victor Tellagio makes his official Protocol debut with “Burn”, combining his future bass/house style with the Protocol veteran. We can only wait to see what Marc Benjamin is going to drop next.
