Producer Fryar Follows Up Mersiv Collab EP With Heavy Bass Music Experience, “Doubt In My Head”
Moments through life are constantly in flux, and artists find these moments as inspiration. On our latest visit over to bass music pool we are checking out “Doubt In My Head”. the latest single from Fryar. Created by musician Matt Fryar, Fryar is an electronic music project out of Myrtle Beach, SC that strives to enrapture underground hip-hop beats with surreal melodies. Through this balance, listeners of Fryar are consistently in flux and the radical shifts influence the way they move. The style contrasts well, imitating the falling in and out of life. Essentially Fryar’s sound is becoming a state of polarity, where those who yearn for melancholy and heavy bass can flock to. The concept must resonate well, as many tastemakers such as Buku, Liquid Stranger, Noisia, Ravenscoon, and Zeds Dead to name a few have already offered support for Fryar’s sound.
When you’re coming off an electrifying collab EP like Paradise with Mersiv, you know that your follow-up can’t falter or slow down, not even one bit. “Doubt In My Head” is a driving bass-heavy single that showcases his signature style perfectly, balancing between gritty bass and more cinematic/atmospheric tones. Sitting in our office listening to the single, its confusing yet enticing our brains, not allowing us to make our home on one end of Fryar’s spectrum for too long. The track showcases the makings of a bass music maestro, so we will have to keep a watchful eye on Fryar as he grows as a producer. If anything, we can definitely say that “Doubt In My Head” raises the bar for whatever else Fryar producers moving forward for the rest of his career.
