Nicky Romero Partners With Universal Music, Drops 1st Single “Nights With You”
Even though you are comfortable and making great content at home, sometimes you just need a new partnership to stimulate those creative juices. This time around, instead of hanging out at Protocol we are heading on over to Universal for “Nights With You”, the latest drop from Nicky Romero. Romero is one of the modern producers to change and mold today’s electronic music scene how he sees fit. Not only has he founded one of the most prolific modern electronic music movements, but he is also constantly on DJ Mag’s Top 100 list year after year and has attributed heavily to the global spread of electronic music. Romero continues to surprise us, even dropping a mini-doc series back in 2019 and multiple successful releases now that he’s back on the wagon. Hell, he even put on one hell of a performance at the London opening of the Call of Duty League eSports tournament!

Wait a minute, doesn’t Romero represent Protocol Recordings as their label boss? Well yes, but “Nights With You” is the first single released as part of Romero’s partnership with Universal. While we are used to heavy progressive drops and big room audible experiences from the Protocol leader, “Nights With You” lets Romero use dance and explore his softer side. Guided by a soft piano and subtle organic acoustic sounds, this track provides listeners a radio-friendly experience with the Nicky Romero flair. A refreshing playground for Romero to explore and experiment, we can’t wait to see what else is given the green light due to this partnership.
