Nicky Romero and Teamworx Reunite for Groovy Single “World Through Your Eyes,” Ft. Joseph Feinstein
When a veteran act joins the label boss of their imprint for a single, you have to stop and take notice. On our latest visit over to Protocol we are checking out “World Through Your Eyes”, the latest single from Nicky Romero and Teamworx. Romero is one of the modern producers to change and mold today’s electronic music scene how he sees fit. Not only has he founded one of the most prolific modern electronic music movements, but he is also constantly on DJ Mag’s Top 100 list year after year and has attributed heavily to the global spread of electronic music. Romero continues to surprise us, even dropping a mini-doc series back in 2019 and multiple successful releases now that he’s back on the wagon. Hell, he even put on one hell of a performance at the London opening of the Call of Duty League eSports tournament!
However, Romero can’t obviously take all of the credit. A staple in the Protocol roster, Teamworx has been making waves since joining the label last year. By far one of the most bass-heavy tracks on Protocol, “Trap Like” is going to ride that wave of success created by Teamworx last two releases. They were able to earn over 1 million streams on Spotify with “Champion Sound” with Nicky Romero and have cemented their staying power with their Sunstars collaboration “Playin Around“. Teamworx has continued to expand their catalog, with their latest drop “Actions” receiving plenty of industry and audience acclaim.
Having covered both Romero and Teamworx many times throughout Modern Neon’s lifetime, it is always a treat when these producers join forces. “World Through Your Eyes” is another progressive house gem that slots nicely into the Protocol progressive house style that we are all too familiar with. Featuring the vocal stylings of German singer-songwriter Joseph Feinstein, the track allows Romero and Teamworx to explore a more intimate and delicate instrumental melody than you would expect. For example, instead of embracing the big room festival house drop that both acts utilized in the past, they change course midway through and enhance the groovy bassline instead. With “World Through Your Eyes” being the fourth collaboration between Romero and Teamworx, it is quickly becoming clear that their chemistry in collabs might be unbeatable.
