Oh hell yes, now we’re taking a step back to explore our personal roots and introduction to electronic music. On our latest visit over to Teamwrk Records we are checking out “Platia”, the latest single from FOVOS. Strutting out back onto the scene in the year we’d like to forget (2020), this New-Zealand duo spent much of the pandemic busy in the studio and kickstarting their career as artists. Aiming to embrace and enhance the sound of the underground, FOVOS has already snagged the support of AC Slater, Cloverdale, Dr. Fresch, Eli & Fur, Golf Clap, Joel Corry, Kryder, Martin Ikin, and MASTERIA, just to name drop a few. Even though we caught them still pretty on in their career, FOVOS has already picked up major momentum in 2022 and have plenty of music slated for the rest of the year, in order to make 2022 the first true year of FOVOS at their finest…until they reach the next level.
We are always thrilled when we have a refreshing producer who comes in and triggers our personal nostalgia receptors, not just our generational ones. When we started to fully dive into the EDM world in the late 2000s, we were obsessed with the likes of Showtek, Headhunterz, and pretty much everything hardstyle. So for a more modern artist like FOVOS to marry both our current love for tech house and our nostalgia hit of hardstyle, you’ve instantly got us hooked. FOVOS is back with their sinister bass that creates a dark and ominous illusion over the track’s backing bassline, we couldn’t be more excited to absolutely let this one loose and completely let “Platia” have all of our inhibitions.
