Multi-Instrumentalist Cassie Marin Returns With Aesthetically Pleasing Music Video, Single “Busy Body”
Sometimes just adding that visual touch pushes your single’s meaning that much closer to the surface. On our latest peek into the indie world we are checking out a brand new music video for “Busy Body” by Cassie Marin. Hailing from the ever bright city in the sun of Miami, Marin actually didn’t have dreams early on of being a musician. Originally focused on being a gymnast, Marin wanted to become an Olympian athlete and stepped onto that career path as soon as she could. However, after having those dreams dashed after a serious injury at age 13, Marin discovered her love for music. Teaching herself how to produce and write songs from the ground up, Marin pivoted her dedication to being an Olympian into creating the exact kind of music that she had rattling around in her head.
For the ‘Busy Body’ video, the idea was to take the song’s main theme surrounding compulsive surveillance to a literal and clear cut place while still keeping it fun and lighthearted through the story and style,” – Cassie Marin

When you already have an addictive track on your hands, you might as well capitalize on it with a matching music video. While the original single explored the masses’ individual relationships with technology, Marin continues this exploration via the new music video. While the focus tangents a tad, focusing on the binary phenomenon of being watched as an online creator and as a consumer of said media. The music video is definitely a solid method of experiencing “Busy Body”, as this dreamy electronica number fits perfectly into the colorful aesthetic that is curated on screen.
