then-and-now-the-cast-of-jurassic-park-22-years-laterHuge advancements in scientific technology have enabled a mogul to create an island full of living dinosaurs. John Hammond has invited four individuals, along with his two grandchildren, to join him at Jurassic Park. But will everything go according to plan? A park employee attempts to steal dinosaur embryos, critical security systems are shut down and it now becomes a race for survival with dinosaurs roaming freely over the island.

It has been a very long time since I sat down and actually watched the Jurassic Park films in preparation for Jurassic WorldJurassic Park is the only one in the original trilogy that stands up to par. The main cast’s performances were absolutely fantastic, as it brought back many nostalgic memories from my childhood. While now I know how to actually recognize decent CGI/animatronics, the dinosaurs actually held up and have aged decently. jurassicpark_BIG

I do have to say, just like I remember, I absolutely hated the kids’ roles in the series. They were even more annoying than in my original viewing when I was younger. Why were they even brought along? I feel like they were absolutely a waste of time and added almost nothing to the film. GET RID OF THEM.

PROS:

  • Decent CGI/animatronics.
  • Nostalgia.
  • Main cast performances.

CONS:

  • Continuity errors.
  • Children.
  • Supporting cast performances.

SCORE: 7.0 / 10
