Juuku pairs up with lyricist Holywatr on new single “Without U” via Dim Mak Records
Now with a monumental force in the music industry behind him, 2023 is going to be the year of juuku. On our latest visit over to Aoki’s Dim Mak we are checking out “Without U”, the latest drop from the enigmatic juuku. Artists like juuku are in a unique position and are quickly making waves and catching the attention of tastemakers in the electronic music industry. juuku has been quietly cultivating a community with their recent singles, each catching the eye of more and more music fans on a global scale. If there is anything good that has come out of the last two years, it is that artists like juuku enhanced their sound design game and are now able to create beautiful audible experiences for listeners who are willing to take the plunge.

While we were thrilled to see juuku blossom as a producer and as an artist in the indie space, they couldn’t have joined a better label that will set them up for success in whichever stylistic venture they want to strike out on. For example, while we were initially swooned for juuku’s elegant and intricate soundscapes in the experimental ambient scene, “Without U” is juuku’s latest shift into the world of drum N bass. Recruiting the likes of Holywatr to provide the vocal backbone, juuku runs wild with a minimal production that builds into a flurry of drum N bass kicks and addictive bass lines. With “Without U” being the second single from juuku’s upcoming Lavender Dreams and Scarlet Nightmares EP, our hype level for this project just keeps rising exponentially.
