Future House Music (FHM) is a pioneering independent record label at the forefront of the global house music scene. Founded from a passionate online community, FHM has built a reputation for its “artist-first” approach, supporting emerging talent and curating top-tier releases. The label is dedicated to connecting millions of house music lovers worldwide through quality-driven music, live events, and strong fan engagement across platforms like Discord and YouTube. Their commitment to both innovation and community has solidified their role as a leader in the genre.

Beyond its digital presence, FHM plays an influential role in live events, curating unforgettable experiences at international clubs and festivals. With initiatives like the Future House Music Awards, the label highlights the best in house music while continually nurturing a thriving, global network of artists and fans. Their mission is to release exceptional house music and inspire future generations, solidifying FHM as a cornerstone of digital music culture and a driving force in shaping the future of house music.

When we started FHM, we had big dreams but limited resources. We kept believing in future house, which was still a niche genre back in 2014. Within our first year, it became clear that we weren’t alone in our passion. Enthusiasm for this fresh wave of house music surged which resulted in exponential growth of the brand. In the following years, we’ve created a community where we try to do things differently by putting artists first and where artists feel valued, and we still pursue this mission with our team daily. That commitment drives everything we do and is why I’m so proud of what we’ve created together.” – Aart van den Dool, Co-Founder & Music Director

Over the past ten years, Aart and I have had an amazing experience creating Future House Music. Discover in this documentary how we met, how it all started, the events that molded our vision, and the obstacles we faced along the way. It’s a tale of enthusiasm, teamwork, and an unwavering determination to develop potential and push limits. In addition to sharing our history, we’re very pleased to offer a look into FHM‘s past, present & future as well as interviews with artists & industry professionals. This is not just a celebration, it’s a demonstration of what can be accomplished when people work together.” – Gino van Eijk, Co-Founder & Strategic Director

Future House Music (FHM), a leading independent label in electronic dance music, is celebrating its 10th anniversary with the release of a documentary on its YouTube channel. The label began in 2014 as a Facebook fan page for future house enthusiasts and quickly evolved into a dynamic hub for fans and artists. In 2015, FHM took its first major step by signing Jonas Aden’s single, marking its official entry into the music industry. Over the years, FHM grew rapidly, achieving major milestones such as opening an office in Rotterdam, hosting its first festival stage in 2017, and reaching 1 million YouTube subscribers in 2019.

Despite challenges like copyright issues and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, FHM remained dedicated to supporting emerging talent and building a strong community. Landmark achievements like launching the Future House Music Awards in 2020 and expanding globally with showcases in countries such as Japan, the USA, and the UK further solidified its position. By 2022, the label was ranked 6th on 1001tracklists for DJ support. The documentary, which premiered at Amsterdam Dance Event, celebrates FHM’s journey, reflecting on its triumphs and struggles as it continues to shape the future of house music.
