House Music Icon Roger Sanchez Releases New Album “Spectrum” – His First Body of Work in 20 Years
Grammy-winning house legend Roger Sanchez returns with Spectrum, his first studio album in 20 years, marking a major milestone in a career that has helped define global house music culture. Developed in part during a creatively influential period in Shoreditch, the album reflects both his club roots and his evolution as a producer, blending high-energy dancefloor tracks with more atmospheric, emotionally driven material. Across the record, Sanchez collaborates with a wide range of artists including Melanie C, Donae’o, Kelli-Leigh, and Low Steppa, reinforcing the album’s cross-generational, genre-spanning approach.
““I’ve been working on this for the past six years, so it’s definitely a labour of love. During that time I got the chance to travel around the world and work with some amazing vocalists and songwriters to help me bring this project to life. I’ve got flavours from the UK, Spain, the US – all of this is part of the spectrum. This project is about music and frequencies and light: everything from the light to the soulful to the club-ready infrared, the emotionally-weighted ultraviolet. A standout moment is “How Do We Say Goodbye,” created with Karen Harding, which pairs nostalgic, soaring vocals with Sanchez’s dynamic production that builds from ambient textures into a powerful club drop. Alongside its digital release, Spectrum is also arriving as a limited red triple-vinyl edition with collectible extras, while Sanchez supports the album with global performances, including his “Flower Power” residency at Pacha Ibiza, European festival dates, and appearances across major clubs—positioning the project as both a personal statement and a wide-reaching celebration of house music’s legacy.
