DJ Paul Elstak and Psycho Boys Club Drops Heavy Hitting Hardcore Single “Bull Kick”

While many would say that there is a point where there are too many artists on a track that it ends up being a “too many cooks in the kitchen situation”, but we’d say bring them on. This time around we are taking a quick trip on over to Barong Family for “Bull Kick”, a brand new single from Paul Elstak and Psycho Boys Club. If you are familiar with the hardcore scene even on the most minuscule of amounts, you have heard of Paul Elstak. Starting his career all the way back in 1987, Paul Elstak crafted a slew of underground hits that filled clubs until he launched Rotterdam Records in 1992. Pivoting slight into the mainstream, Elstak dropped familiar commercial hits such as “Life is Like a Dance”, “Don’t Leave Me Alone”, and “Rainbow in the Sky”. As his career extended, Elstak evolved into a hardcore producer and continued changing the Dutch soundscape. In 2017 Elstak paired up with rappers Jebroer and Dr. Phunk on “Kind Van De Duivel” and “Engeltje”, each going 5x platinum in The Netherlands.

The relatively new project, Psycho Boys Club, was tapped by Elstak for this drop. Formed back in 2019 by producers Juyen Sebulba and Stoltenhoff, who each have their own successful careers as solo musicians. Their hard-hitting style has found their home at Barong Family and we can’t see them leaving anytime soon.

As if you’d expect anything less from a Barong Family release, “Bull Kick” makes it clear that it has no plan to slow down within the first second of its first play. This is definitely not one for those faint at heart, as Paul Elstak and Psycho Boys Club made sure that this song is as hard-hitting as possible. By far the best element about “Bull Kick” is that the track doesn’t feel repetitive whatsoever. Thanks to Psycho Boys Club’s natural talent and Elstak’s storied and seasoned career, the track runs the gambit of sub-genres that the hardcore genre has to offer. “Bull Kick” weaves in between heavy doses of hardcore, bass music, techno, and psytrance, each section offering a different experience. Crank up those BPMs boys, we’ve been waiting for a track like this all year.
