Darude Brings Together a Standout Cast of Producers for the ‘Feel The Beat’ Remixes!

More than two decades after its original release, Darude is revisiting one of the most recognizable tracks in his catalog with the Feel The Beat remix package, marking the song’s first official set of remixes in over twenty years. Released through his Vibing Out label, the collection bridges generations of electronic music by pairing longtime supporters of the record with a new wave of producers. Rather than reinventing the song entirely, the project updates its iconic energy for contemporary dance floors while preserving the elements that made Feel The Beat a staple of the early-2000s trance and club scene.

According to Darude, the remix package came together naturally following the overwhelming response the track received during his global STORM 25 Anniversary Tour. He points to the audience reaction to Ilan Bluestone’s rework as a key catalyst, while noting that Giuseppe Ottaviani had been incorporating his own version into DJ sets for years. Darude had also witnessed strong enthusiasm for Junkkataxi’s interpretation, making an official release feel like the logical next step. The resulting compilation showcases a broad cross-section of today’s electronic landscape, with contributions from Ilan Bluestone, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Emily Nash, Nilsix (the duo of Ørjan Nilsen and Mark Sixma), EM11 of HE.SHE.THEY, and Junkkataxi. Each artist brings a distinct perspective to the track, ranging from uplifting trance to more contemporary club sounds, while maintaining the unmistakable pulse and momentum that have defined Feel The Beat since its debut in 2000.

Feel The Beat was one of the records that inspired me to start producing trance music. Darude and I became close friends and I always told him this was the one track of his I absolutely had to remix. Because the original means so much to me, I wanted to keep its DNA intact, focusing on enhancing the groove and adding a little more drive underneath, all whilst staying true to what makes it such a timeless classic.” – Ilan Bluestone

Darude continues the revival of his iconic track Feel The Beat with a new remix package featuring updated production from some of electronic music’s most respected artists, alongside newly recorded vocals from Austrian singer, songwriter, and producer PAENDA (Gabriela Horn). Her performance pays tribute to the original while adding a fresh, contemporary feel that helps connect the track’s early-2000s legacy with today’s club landscape. The release further highlights the vision behind Darude’s independent label Vibing Out, a creative platform focused on supporting artists, embracing innovation, and developing music outside traditional industry boundaries.

The remixes have already been tested on dance floors around the world during Darude’s ongoing HYPE Tour, with standout appearances at events like EDC Las Vegas and Steelyard London. As the tour continues through major cities including Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago, fans are getting an early look at how Feel The Beat continues to resonate with new generations of electronic music listeners. More than a nostalgic revisit, the project showcases the track’s lasting impact and Darude’s ability to evolve a classic sound while preserving the energy that made it a global anthem.
