Now this is a monumental surprise collaboration that we desperately needed this week. Kicking this week off we have four new remixes, two each from powerhouses Steve Aoki and Nicky Romero. As we mentioned before, Romero is one of the modern producers to change and mold today’s electronic music scene how he sees fit. Not only has he founded one of the most prolific modern electronic music movements, he is constantly on DJ Mag’s Top 100 list year after year and has attributed heavily to the global spread of electronic music. We are glad to see that Romero is back in the producing chair, as the modern industry still needs a bit more of his influence.
As part of this remix bundle, we are treated to two variations of Nicky Romero and Taio Cruz’s “Me On You”, while Romero takes his brush upon Aoki’s “Lie to Me”. Both Romero and Aoki crafted two tracks for any occasion and even a special version for the festival stage. Romero transforms Aoki’s “Lie to Me” into a progressive big-room house anthem that completely transformed the track for a new community. On the other hand, Aoki’s dual approach transforms “Me On You” into not only a solid track perfect for the end of summer, but also a bouncy and groovy bass-filled bop that we keep you grinding until the wee morning hours.
