Amba Shepherd is Back With New Release “If I Could”
Hello again Miss Shepherd, it’s been awhile. We haven’t heard much from you busy body since your “Wide Awake and Dreaming” release. A rather prolific Australian singer-songwriter, Amba has been generously allowing use of her vocals in the electronic scene for some time now. She has worked with high profile acts such as Hardwell, Porter Robinson, and Paul Oakenfold just to name a few (and that doesn’t even dent the list). Amba has been an amazing inspiration for indie artists, as she as continued to support herself independently and has even created her own record label called Superrlativ. She has since completed three releases via Superrlativ, with today’s track “If I Could” taking its place as the third.
Alright, so now that we have some pretty distinct styles, we can make some comparisons. Much slower and solemn than her previous tracks, “If I Could” is easily a prime example of what exactly Amba can do with her voice. This downtempo indie track is about all of the thoughts and feelings that we can’t explain in words, and Amba is the right artist to take us on this smooth & easy-going ride. Amba, you keep surprising us with new styles and addicting songs to keep us listening. Well done, we can’t wait for the next one.
