Trance Heavyweights Paul Denton and Will Rees Issue “Get Hight”, The Next Single From Their Newly Formed Parallel Worlds Project
The collaborative project between Paul Denton and Will Rees feels like the natural next step for two producers who have quietly mirrored each other’s rise for nearly twenty years. Denton, based in Dublin, and Rees have long shared a reputation for big-room trance that balances emotional lift with club-ready bite, and their partnership—Parallel Worlds—turns that chemistry into something fully realized. Their debut single for Dreamstate Records, “Get High,” doubles down on tech trance’s tougher side: driving percussion, rolling bass, and hypnotic vocal loops give way to a stark, industrial breakbeat passage before snapping back into its high-energy groove. It’s uncompromising dancefloor material, the kind of track built to rattle systems and pull listeners into its darker, hypnotic headspace.
“‘Get High’ was a stand out track in our debut set as Parallel Worlds. A crossover track influenced by techno, trance, and breakbeat.”
The project really clicked after a standout back-to-back set at the Ministry of Sound in London, which reignited ideas they’d first explored with their 2020 collaboration “Fluidity.” That earlier release earned broad support from heavyweights across the trance world and planted the seeds for what would become Parallel Worlds, later introduced with singles and performances through showcases like FSOE London and Kearnage. Now, with “Get High,” Denton and Rees are positioning the project as a global club force—music built for festivals and late-night sets that doesn’t aim to comfort so much as transport. It’s tech trance with edge and ambition, designed to hit hard and linger long after the dancefloor lights come up.
