While you may have the momentum for a short period, dedication and perseverance is what will keep you in the limelight. On our latest visit over to Protocol we are checking out “Stars”, the newest single to come out of the Tommy Jayden camp. While Jayden officially debuted back in May 2019 on “Looking At Me” with Skytech, Jayden is taking center stage to spread his wings. Jayden knew from a young age that he was destined for a path filled with music, as he fell in love with the works of Michael Jackson at a mere 8 years old. As he grew older, he started thriving under the electric sky as he discovered and became one with house music. Jayden has started gaining a bit of recognition, with official remixes for R3HAB and Kygo, amassing approximately 1.2M streams on YouTube. While this is a revisit for Jayden to the Protocol label, he has also dropped singles with other imprints such as Spinnin’ Records, Revealed Recordings, Hexagon, and Armada Music.
While we are beginning to see new sides to the Protocol camp, there are still plenty of talented artists like Tommy Jayden to keep the core progressive house vibe alive and well. This brand new single “Stars” is the latest in a wave of support from Protocol, who have re-affirmed their vision of supporting upcoming artists and rising stars with whatever tools/guidance they can offer. While Jayden debuted on Protocol with “Deja Vu” back in the year that should be forgotten, this track is a collaboration with fresh off the boat newcomer IMPVLZ. Combining their talents as producers and musicians, these two created a classic progressive house song with a soulful and melodic twist. Both emotive and completely dancefloor-worthy, we can’t wait to hear “Stars” on the playlist next time we are allowed to restart the nightlife scene hopefully later this year.
