The Next Teased Collab is Here, Nicky Romero and W&W Drop Festival Anthem "Ups & Downs"
Romero is one of the modern producers to change and mold today’s electronic music scene how he sees fit. Not only has he founded one of the most prolific modern electronic music movements, he is constantly on DJ Mag’s Top 100 list year after year and has attributed heavily to the global spread of electronic music. We are glad to see that Romero is back in the producing chair, as the modern industry still needs a bit more of his influence. We can’t give all of the credit to Romero though, because W&W have just finished a major global tour last year and launched their own imprint Rave Culture. W&W has a lengthy catalog with collaborations from hugely successful producers such as Armin Van Buuren, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, and remixing for Steve Aoki!
Now that we are officially thriving in the beginning of festival season, we are bound to see more and more epic festival anthems like this track. “Ups and Downs” relies on all of the producers’ involved widely-know styles, as all are known for their big blasting bassline and often euphoric melodies that lift ff listeners into a realm of bliss. While the track’s lyrics may be simple, they will easily resonate with ravers of all ages as it expresses how electronic music is one of the truest forms of expression that we have access to. Dance culture is not only touching but welcoming of anyone who wants to enjoy its embrace.
