Talented Producing Duo Hello Yes Release Overwhelmingly Groovy New Single “Never Trusted Me”
While we love most genres under the electronic music umbrella, we will immediately shift if you get us something with a solid groove. On our latest visit over to Gravitas we are checking out “Never Trusted Me”, the latest drop from Hello Yes. Consisting of guitarist Mitch Bell and saxophonist Aaron Leibowitz, this talented duo formed during off time while on tour with electronic artist ZHU. Striking a golden balance between modern indie and lounge groove, Hello Yes has been using this latest run of releases to explore the sonic valley within their style lies. Since starting off over four years ago, Hello Yes has been featured or collaborated with the likes of Emotional Oranges, THEY., Jason Mraz, and Tame Impala. The duo’s relentless touring schedule has netted them a spot at some of the most prestigious festivals including main stages at EDC, Life is Beautiful, Electric Forest, Lightning a Bottle, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, ACL and many others
While we know we aim to represent many different facets and faces under the EDM umbrella, we often lose ourselves in the light where we are comfortable. The latest edition to the Hello Yes catalog, “Never Trusted Me” is a minimal breezy house single that lets the track’s groove carve the path and lead the way. Aiming for the catchy synth stabs and vocal chops to be center stage, “Never Trusted Me” becomes a vaguely tropical yet happy single which makes it hard not to smile at We are already swooning in just the opening beats and we are completely trapped by the time Hello Yes’s signature saxophone takes center focus and elevates the track even further. We need more Hello Yes in our rotation yesterday.
