Suffering From a Breakup? Lift Your Spirits With Nicky Romero’s "My Way" Ft. Alice Berg
Hey, look! Nicky Romero is still pumping out track after track, not slowing down for even a second. This time around we are looking at “My Way”, Romero’s latest collaboration over on his home label Protocol. As we mentioned before, Romero is one of the modern producers to change and mold today’s electronic music scene how he sees fit. Not only has he founded one of the most prolific modern electronic music movements, he is constantly on DJ Mag’s Top 100 list year after year and has attributed heavily to the global spread of electronic music. We are glad to see that Romero is back in the producing chair, as the modern industry still needs a bit more of his influence.
Now this is a bit of fresh air, as we were in need of another dance/pop crossover. No one does them better than Romero (except maybe office favorite Calvin Harris). For “My Way” Romero enlists the help of promising artist Alice Berg to breathe a bit of fresh life into his new track. The track could have turned out completely different, but Berg’s vocal work molds “My Way” into a necessary break up song that uplifts you instead of crushing you into a pit of sorrow. We obviously can’t leave Romero’s contributions out however, as Romero’s organic melodies and signature percussion keep “My Way” in line and easily compliments Berg’s performance.
