Spanish Producers JP Candela & Sansixto Join Forces For “Big Up!”, a Trip Into The Ibiza Underground
Let’s take a quick trip over to a region where we don’t visit often (even though we massively want to), Spain. On our next stop at Protocol we have the Protocol debut of powerhouse JP Candela and his new track “Big Up!”. With a massively established career over the last decade, we are thrilled to finally have JP Candela join the Protocol family. Candela is an absolute man of the globe, having performed in some of the most esteemed global stages of Ultra Europe, Rock in Rio, and WMC Miami. Canadela’s storied career has taken him on a windy path, even releasing multiple tracks with Spinnin’ Records, Sony Music, and Ministry of Sound to just name a few.
Tagging along on this release with Candela is fellow Spanish producer Sansixto. Sansixto currently rocks his fifth year of residency at Falkata, allowing the opportunity to open for major players like Alesso and Nicky Romero. Sansixto has so far dropped tracks on Revealed Recordings, Maxximize, Different, and Pacha Recordings…so it is about time he stepped on Protocol’s grounds.
Ibiza is the place where music fans go dancing the night away, all into the bright and shining hours of a new morning. With so many years thriving in Ibiza under their collective belts, Candela and Sansixto had no problem combining their efforts to drop a new track for everyone to experience that special Ibiza feel. “Big Up!” exists as a tech-house track in broad strokes, as it clearly derives from electro, grime, and bounce. Pushing out a distinct underground club vibe, “Big Up!” features plenty of bouncy synths and grime-filled bass that will assist in your journey to the Spanish underground.
