Singer Gillian Drops New Ballad “Fray”, 4th Tease For Upcoming Album
We are always suckers for a grand ballad, and when Gillian is the force behind it, we have no doubt that we will be hooked. This time around we are heading back over to Gillian for her latest single “Fray”. Gillian may have first graced our shores back in June with her previous single “static“, but Gillian has already been busy making waves in her music ecosystem. Hailing from the Boston area, Gillian is another musician that is determined to not hide behind grand productions and make the heavily manufactured pop music that plays effortlessly on the radio. Regardless of what instrument she’s busy performing behind, Gillian wants to use music to tell her own truths, regardless of how raw they end of being. Tackling subjects like a relationship crumbling under her feet or struggling with addictions, she wants to tell it all. She may be early in her career, but Gillian has a clear path in mind for the future.
While we have become accustomed to Gillian’s beautiful and powerful vocal performances, “Fray” might easily be our favorite drop yet. Allowing a soft yet melodic piano takes the led, Gillian has no problem to belt out her emotions in every note that follows. At a meager age of 16 years old, Gillian shows more raw personality and vulnerability in “Fray” than many artists her senior. You might think that letting your emotions take the steering wheel may be a weakness, but for Gillian it is anything but. Gillian’s new album is popping up over the horizon, and she may just be the newcomer to keep your eye on for the rest of this year.
