Rising star juuku releases new single “Moonlight” (feat. Gianni Taylor) via Dim Mak ahead of new EP

After wowing and entrancing audiences on his own, juuku may have just finally found his home. On our latest visit over to Dim Mak we are checking out “Moonlight” the latest drop from juuku. Artists like juuku are in a unique position and are quickly making waves and catching the attention of tastemakers in the electronic music industry. juuku has been quietly cultivating a community with their recent singles, each catching the eye of more and more music fans on a global scale. If there is anything good that has come out of the last two years, it is that artists like juuku enhanced their sound design game and are now able to create beautiful audible experiences for listeners who are willing to take the plunge.

This EP – Lavender Dreams and Scarlett Nightmares – represent the two sides of the spectrum that encompass the universe I’m building as juuku. I have synesthesia, which in my case I can see colors when I listen to music, and especially when I create it. it’s either in the tone of purple (lavender) or in the tone of red (Scarlett). These two colors represent the two different colors that my music encompasses. And this EP is the gateway to this universe I call my own” – juuku

“Excited to welcome juuku to the Dim Mak roster. And hyped he’s joining me on my “HIROQUEST: Genesis” tour – His cinematic and melodic sound will be a great new addition to the shows!” – Steve Aoki

After falling for the musical whims of juuku many moons ago, we’re ready to see the EDM dieties above shine on this talented producer. Kicking off 2023 with his label announcement and his first single “Moonlight”. 2023 might just be the year of juuku and the year where he fully hits his stride as a producer. Recruiting singer Gianni Taylor to accompany him, “Moonlight” allows juuku to put his knack for intricate sound design and soundscapes on display for a much larger audience, all while the same time utilizing a dynamic vocal performance within his track. “Moonlight” is only the first single to come from this juuku x Dim Mak partnership, with the full Lavender Dreams and Scarlett Nightmares EP set to release later this Spring. We’re taking advantage of this partnershup to finally catch one of juuku’s visually stimulating live shows, where juuku will be joining Steve Aoki for select dates on Aoki’s HIROQUEST: Genesis tour.
