Producer ÜHÜ Returns to Alok’s CONTROVERSIA For Brazilian Tribal Tech House “Going Out”
Once you’ve been in the same industry for X amount of time, you want to shake up your surroundings a bit. On our initial visit over to Alok’s CONTROVERSIA we are checking out “Going Out”, the latest drop from ÜHÜ. Created by producer Gabriel Murillo Mello, ÜHÜ is the latest project to come out from this post-pandemic world. With over ten years of DJing/producing under his belt, Gabriel is a major force to be reckoned with down in the Brazilian dance scene, amassing over 1 billion streams over the course of his career. Not only has he performed at major festivals such as Tomorrowland Brasil, EDC Brasil, Green Valley, Dream Valley, PUMP, and the Rio Music Conference, but he’s also gained support from the likes of David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Alok, Tiësto, Steve Aoki, Hardwell, Showtek, and many others. Even though he’s already an accomplished musician, Gabriel crafted this new startup up persona so he can dive deep into the world of house music from scratch as ÜHÜ.
While we normally pair up with a particular label when we are diving into the world of house music, Alok and CONTROVERSIA are here to change our way of thinking. While “Going Out” is only the third release from the ÜHÜ camp, we are already getting a much clearer idea of how Brazil produces house music for the ages. Setting the tone of the party as soon as you push play, ÜHÜ opens the single with lyrics about preparing to take on the town and going out to make this night yours. The track immediately pivots into a tribal meets tech house blend of dance music, letting the bouncy and upbeat bassline take center stage in order to keep the good vibes flowing. We have zero doubt that “Going Out” won’t infect club setlists around the country, keeping the energy alive all throughout the summer. ÜHÜ might have just become our club shaman for the near future.
