Pop Musician Cappa Teases Upcoming 2021 EP With New Infectious Pop Single “Colder”

While some pop songs sound over-produced, but it takes a true touch to make a pop track that is infectious and clever. On our latest dive into the world of indie-pop we are checking out “Colder”, the newest single in the Cappa catalog.  Originally hailing out of Philadelphia, it wasn’t until Cappa launched herself to Nashville’s pop scene that she began to find a dose of recognition. Bursting onto the pop scene back in 2015 with her debut single “Hush”, Cappa quickly found her legs and continued to create her own vision of pop music for those who are willing to give a listen. Since her debut she has released two EPs, CAPPA and Queen of Hearts as well as a slew of singles over the years, each expanding her horizon as a musician. After moving to the city of angels a few years later, Cappa has now exploded her catalog with multiple features with talented producers and crafting her upcoming 2021 EP.

“I wrote this song about when you’re going through a breakup and trying to replace the person but nothing quite feels the same. You want to feel a warm body next to you but it never feels quite like it did with the person you were in love with.” – CAPPA

While we aren’t normally fans of traditional pop music, especially the earworms that litter the radio, there are a few that slip through the cracks and find themselves on repeat in our rotations. We have no doubt that this latest single is one of the gems. The second official single from Cappa’s upcoming 2021 EP, “Colder” details the all too familiar feeling of trying to replace a recent break-up. The track is infectious beyond belief, keeping us pushing play as soon as the track is over. Whether it is Cappa’s bouncy and sweet vocal work or the casual synths that keep the beat driving forward, each element flows together to stand out from the rest of the over-saturated pop market. “Colder” is groovy, sparkly, and easily a pop number that we won’t mind littering our radio. We can’t wait to hear the rest of Cappa’s EP when it drops later this year.
