Nicky Romero & Protocol Vet Almero Release High-Energy French House Dance Banger “So Much Love”
While you might have just thrown your hat into the 2022 ring, you need to take that energy and completely run with it. On our latest visit over to Protocol Recordings, we are checking out “So Much Love”, the latest single from Nicky Romero and Almero. Romero is one of the modern producers to change and mold today’s electronic music scene how he sees fit. Not only has he founded one of the most prolific modern electronic music movements, but he is also constantly on DJ Mag’s Top 100 list year after year and has attributed heavily to the global spread of electronic music. Romero continues to surprise us, even dropping a mini-doc series back in 2019 and multiple successful releases now that he’s back on the wagon. Hell, he even put on one hell of a performance at the London opening of the Call of Duty League eSports tournament. Romero’s list of accomplishments keeps growing, now including a brand new partnership with Fader Pro and a release of his own NFT collection!
Hot on the heels of his most recent See You On The Dancefloor EP alongside Low Blow, Romero continues his revisit to more traditional house music with “So Much Love”. This time joining Almero in Protocol’s production lab, Romero combines elements from both progressive and french house music to make a sonic banger that is worthy to fit into his catalog of hits. One look at “So Much Love” and we can see many of the markers for yet another progressive house anthem, including the combination of upbeat melodies, an addictively bouncy bassline, a few sprinklings of nu-disco, and plenty of energy that simply can’t be contained. Romero and Protocol veteran Almero consistently make quality singles to set our dancefloors ablaze, so there is little surprise that with both of them on this production that “So Much Love” would be straight fire.
