Nicky Romero Announces His Readiness to Party This Festival Season With Main Stage Gem “Pressure”
With festival season in full swing, producers and label bosses like Nicky Romero are running at top speed. On our latest visit over to Protocol we are checking out “Pressure”, the latest single from Nicky Romero. Romero is one of the modern producers to change and mold today’s electronic music scene how he sees fit. Not only has he founded one of the most prolific modern electronic music movements, but he is also constantly on DJ Mag’s Top 100 list year after year and has attributed heavily to the global spread of electronic music. Romero continues to surprise us, even dropping a mini-doc series back in 2019 and multiple successful releases now that he’s back on the wagon. Hell, he even put on one hell of a performance at the London opening of the Call of Duty League eSports tournament. Romero’s list of accomplishments keeps growing, now including a brand new partnership with Fader Pro and a release of his own NFT collection!
Fans who were able to catch one of Romero’s recent live performances may recognize this song. Officially debuting during Romero’s Ultra Music Festival last month, “Pressure” took center stage as it opened Romero’s high-energy set after two years away from UMF. A pure progressive house single through and through, “Pressure” essentially serves as Romero’s announcement to the world that he is prime and ready to kickstart this festival season and burn bright into the remnants of it and the end of the year. “Pressure” is another addition to the Romero catalog that was crafted for the main stage, to keep listeners dancing their hearts out until the positive vibes flow away. “Pressure” follows Romero’s previous single “Lose My Mind” and the launch of his music production plugin “Kickstart 2”, which has already been adopted by many prominent tastemakers in the industry.
