New Zealand Duo FOVOS Set Fire To 2022 With Dark Techno Single “Under Pressure”
We are always in need of a fresh dose of dark techno, especially when they are finally picking up the momentum they deserve. On our latest visit over to Teamwrk Records we are checking out “Under Pressure”, the latest drop from FOVOS. Strutting out back onto the scene in the year we’d like to forget (2020), this New-Zealand duo spent much of the pandemic busy in the studio and kickstarting their career as artists. Aiming to embrace and enhance the sound of the underground, FOVOS has already snagged the support of AC Slater, Cloverdale, Dr. Fresch, Eli & Fur, Golf Clap, Joel Corry, Kryder, Martin Ikin, and MASTERIA, just to name drop a few. Even though we caught them still pretty on in their career, FOVOS has already picked up major momentum in 2022 and have plenty of music slated for the rest of the year, in order to make 2022 the first true year of FOVOS at their finest…until they reach the next level.
When we are promised a serving of dark techno, we are expecting some deep, underground, hard-hitting beats. Well, FOVOS promised early and delivered on that promise with “Under Pressure”, the latest single from the FOVOS camp. Feeling like it was ripped directly out of our local underground club, “Under Pressure” is simply not for the faint of heart…especially those who can’t keep up with these BPMs. The track pulls stylistic elements from both dark techno and hardstyle, with FOVOS’s combination of mechanical synths strung together by a deep heartbeat bassline is the true star of the show. You can add as much aesthetic and artistic flair you want to it, but if you capture a great beat to ensnare your audience, then you’re golden. We’re going to keep an eye on you FOVOS, as we hope to hear even more from you during this festival season revival.
