Mysterious Cityzen Drops Tech-House “Party Instruction”, Benny Bennasi + Distortion

Just because we don’t have a club scene to experience, doesn’t mean you can hold a genre like tech-house back.. Kicking off coverage for this week we are heading on over to CY3RPVNK for “Party Instruction”, the latest single from the enigmatic Cityzen. Cityzen is definitely a peculiar project, as his affinity for the color red when paired with his unique glasses creates a rather odd image. We have already been treated to a bit of Cityzen’s style with their first few single “Sirius”, “Rave Tech Repeat”, and “Unicorns On a Rocket Launcher”. However, Cityzen’s drive to blend futuristic beats and classic underground sounds will only further cloud his image and style. Will they be able to transport us back in time through music once again? Maybe after coming back from this mysterious hiatus will give them the refresher they needed.

While the enigmatic Cityzen has always kept his neo-style at the forefront, it sure hasn’t been as prevalent as this latest track. Further pushing their love of tech-house beats forward, Cityzen hopes that this latest track can plunge you deep into the club atmosphere…even if they are currently closed. Building anticipation right out of the gate, “Party Instructions” comes across as a futuristic house track led by our robotic overlord while at the same time feeling like classic Benny Bennasi. The track’s driving bass line speaks for itself, perfect for any fans of tech-house hiding in the woodwork.  Complimented by the distorted female vocals and mechanical synths, can we even be entirely sure “Party Instruction” was made by a human?
