Multi-Platinum Artists R3HAB and INNA Team Up on New Dance-Pop Smash “Rock My Body” – Remake of Sash!’s Iconic 90s Hit “Ecuador.”
Nostalgia is a powerful force, especially when it comes to music. It can take us back to a different time and place, evoke powerful emotions, and even make us feel young again. On our latest visit over to Spinnin’ Records we are checking out “Rock My Body” the latest drop from R3HAB, INNA, and Sash!. R3HAB has toured some of the best clubs in the world and amassed more than 300 million streams of his debut album. What is actually amazing however is that R3HAB was able to accomplish this with no major label backing, only working through his CYB3RPVNK imprint. Through his expanded efforts to increase CYB3RPVNK’s roster, R3HAB has been recruiting a fantastic variety of up-and-comers to provide a major range of music to his audience. With R3HAB consistently popping up on our radar, we have absolutely no idea what he is going to do next and can’t wait.
“‘Ecuador‘ was one of those records that cut through the noise and redefine a genre. Now, 26 years later, it’s an honor to work with SASH! and INNA on “Rock My Body.” The iconic melody deeply taps into my childhood memories, and 11-year-old me would have never expected this collaboration would happen. This record came together naturally — I had an idea for its energetic dance-pop production and couldn’t sleep until I figured it out in detail. Dutch/Moroccan heavyweight R3HAB and Romanian superstar INNA are capitalizing on this nostalgia trend with their remake of German pop artist Sash!’s 1997 hit “Ecuador” – “Rock My Body.” The original version of “Ecuador” was a sensation in European clubs in the 90s and dominated the airwaves of TV and radio. R3HAB and INNA have managed to capture the spirit of the original and make it relevant for today’s audiences. They kept the uplifting beat that made the original so popular and added R3HAB’s signature sounds to bring the track up to date. INNA’s sultry vocals add a new dimension to the song and complement the beat perfectly. he track has all the hallmarks of a classic ’90s dance anthem, with its infectious beat, catchy melody, and memorable lyrics. It’s a fun, dancefloor-friendly gem that feels just as relevant today as it would have almost three decades ago.
