Marcus Santoro Revisit’s Nicky Romero’s Protocol For First Single of 2021 “Oblivion” Ft. Diana Miro
On our latest visit over to Protocol Recordings we are checking out “Oblivion”, the latest single from Marcus Santoro and Diana Miro. Marcus Santoro is still relatively new on the scene, but with a few notches under his belt. Since originally joining the scene, Santoro has released multiple tracks and remixes on the Enhanced, Armada, and Flashover labels finally settling in with Protocol. Since joining Protocol back in 2019, Santoro has attributed his talents to the rest of the Protocol roster, making his style know to the masses. We have already experienced Santoro’s latest EP and his career has only kickstarted since then. This latest single shows he has no plans of putting the breaks on his momentum, pushing forward to ascend his career to the next level.
This time around the talented Diana Miro steps into the fray to add a bit of assistance. After years of “ghostwriting”, Miro stepped into the limelight and began producing her own house and techno tracks. Her most successful hit, “The Worship”, actually just broke over 1 million streams in 2021!
Man, there are only a few artists that we still cover from our pre=Modern Neon days, and each they pop into our inbox we experience a quick wave of nostalgia before it washes away and we’re back to work. After what feels like ages, Santoro is back with his first song of the year and Nicky Romero’s Protocol, providing a refresh of his classic emotive progressive house to the 2021 catalog. Throughout “Oblivion” Santoro pulls directly from the underground dance scene, combining underground tech house with his signature progressive beats and crafting a late-night house smash in the process. While Santoro’s driving bass keeps the single’s energy high and driving forward, Miro’s vocal performance is the cherry on top that sells the track as a whole. If you need a progressive house single to keep you busy these summer nights, then “Oblivion” is exactly what you are looking for.
