Marcus Santoro Releases Dark, Club-Friendly Progressive House Single “Firestarter.” Out Now on Protocol Recordings
While we are often in the mood for something experimental or a bit on the fantastical side, other times we just want tried and true fundamentals. On our latest visit to Protocol we are checking out “Firestarter”, the latest drop from Marcus Santoro. Since originally joining the scene, Santoro has released multiple tracks and remixes on the Enhanced, Armada, and Flashover labels finally settling in with Protocol. Since joining Protocol back in 2019, Santoro has attributed his talents to the rest of the Protocol roster, making his style know to the masses. We have already experienced Santoro’s latest EP and his career has only kickstarted since then. This latest single shows he has no plans of putting the breaks on his momentum, pushing forward to ascend his career to the next level.
Marcus Santoro, the Australian producer, has just released his latest dark progressive track titled “Firestarter” on Nicky Romero’s label. Santoro is a veteran of the label and has previously worked with Romero on the single “Only For The Night” under the name Monocule. “Firestarter” opens with a deep melody and four-on-the-floor beats, which then transitions into a driving bassline infused with snare sounds, making it an ideal choice for dark club dancefloors and nighttime festival sets.”Firestarter” is sure to be a hit among fans of dark progressive music. The track is an excellent representation of Santoro’s signature sound, which combines elements of progressive house and trance. As we gear up for the approaching festival season, this track is guaranteed to be played out all summer long.
