Mainstay Bass Producers Sully & Hairitage Join Forces For Agressive Trap-Hybrid Single “Buckle Up”
The more we dive into the world of experimental bass, the more we develop a few mainstay producers as emergency handles to hook onto. On our latest visit to Wakaan we are checking out “Buckle Up”, the latest drop from Sully and Hairitage. Created by Detroit-based producer Christopher Sullivant, Sully became to being back in 2019 as Sullivant stepped onto the professional music scene. An alumnus of the Los Angeles acclaimed Icon Collective, Sully began cultivating a dedicated following through a series of self-releases that demonstrated Sully’s core fundamentals as a producer. Sully caught the attention of Wakaan in late 2019, where he made his official label debut and continues to thrive with audiences with his wavey soundscapes. Sully uses the creative juices that he generates with Wakaan to explore many different genres while still keeping his core sound intact.

While we haven’t been exploring too deeply into the world of bass too much in 2023, we thought that it was about time to change that with a familiar face. The latest addition to Sully’s catalog, “Buckle Up” is a pedal to the medal no-shits given bass banger that hits hard and fast. Thanks to the inclusion of Hairitage in the track’s production, “Buckle Up” does not hesitate to push the envelope a bit farther than a good portion of Sully’s other work. Both bass-forward producers leave absolutely nothing on the table, determined to melt the minds of bass heads all around the world with their guttural, trap-hybrid sound. With an extensive touring schedule between the two producers, it is no surprise that their creative chemistry would flow right out of the studio into the track itself.
