Let’s “Rise” and Absolutely Kill It With Plastik Funk
It is about time we came off our weekend high and are treated to some fantastic new tunes. This time we revisited Armada Deep for “Rise” yet another Plastik Funk release. Plastik Funk sure has been extremely busy hasn’t he? The man behind the stage name, Rafael Ximenez-Carrillo, has been rather busy making waves and generating music for the masses. Rafael has played some of the best festivals and shows underneath Armada Music. Most recently, Rafael began his #FunkYouVeryMuch Monthly Radion Show which is just filled with pure energetic tracks.
Now “Rise” has to quite possibly be our favorite track from Plastik Funk this far. Funk showcases his groovy driving bassline and it appeals to that weekend warrior part of us. Sure we grind hard during the week, but that grind continues through the weekend. To top things off, the track could easily be considered nu-disco (which we love) and has motivational lyrics that were designed to pump us up. Let’s sign off with just a few words from the man himself, as no one can describe it better than him.
“It all started with a bootleg using the vocal of “Rise” a while ago to rock it in my sets. People just went crazy when I played it so I decided to do it officially…With the signing on Armada it got real and I can’t wait to finally release this club and festival bomb!” – Plastik Funk
