LA-Based Triple Threat Sam Blacky Unveils Underground House Sound in New Debut “Too Late”
When you are in a position to absolutely skyrocket your career and slay the game, you definitely have to take it. This week we are exploring the brand new debut single “Too Late” from the globetrotting Sam Blacky and the launch of her new label Stabby Records. Producer, model, and influencer, Samantha Black is already a triple threat but primed and ready to take on more. Better known as Sam Blacky, Sam originally hailed from San Diego, Ca but didn’t find her love for music production until moving to Australia for a number of years. Once moving back to Los Angeles, music production and performing live immediately took center stage in her life. Including her modeling schedule, Sam performed all around the world from 2017-2021, with no travel destination escaping her grasp. During the pandemic in 2020, Sam Blacky even created a YouTube series called “A New World” where she live-streamed her favorite sets from locations all around the world!
The world may already have an idea of Sam Blacky as a model and influencer, it is time to finally introduce her sound to the masses. Taking a less traditional approach to electronic music production, Sam Blacky’s personal sound explores underground-inspired house beats blended with the strengths of techno. In an explosive debut, “Too Late” opens with an addictive opening beat influenced by nu-disco instrumentals, leading into a kickdrum drive bassline that primes the listener for a seedy club audible experience. A solid blend of contrasting genres, “Too Late” could easily be on the soundtrack to your next vacation under the night skies in Mexico. The track is the first to be released on Sam’s personal label, Stabby Records, but promises more cutting edge house music in the very new future.
