Joe Ghost Is Thriving With Love Anthem “Let It Go” Ft. Mermaids Exist

We might actually be doing something right here if the newbies keep coming back. In this weekend hump, we have the latest from Joe Ghost, “Let It Go”, over on Thrive Music. Hailing from a grand northern neighbor, Joe Ghost blazed onto the scene in 2013 with Hardwell and their track “Are You Ready”, which was named one of the most popular songs of the year by DJ MAG. Ghost has been tearing up the scene since, punching out hit after hit on multiple different labels such as Dim Mak and Musical Freedom. Ghost has continued to move on with the times, changing up his style with a new modern sound. With a LP in the works, we can’t wait to see what Ghost has to offer for us in the future.

Serving as the second single off of Ghost’s upcoming LP, “Let It Go” gives us a pretty clear idea of what the upcoming LP is going to be like. Created as an anthem for anyone who has gone through the struggles of falling in love, Ghost’s use of live instruments make the track feel more real than it would on the flip side. Having drafted Mermaid Exist for some melodic lyrical work, Ghost ties “Let It Go” in a nice little bow with a rhythmic bassline and a driven melody that is just too catchy; we haven’t finished singing it throughout our office.

This is personally one of my favorite new tunes from my upcoming album. It talks about the struggles of dating, getting close with someone special and that first feeling you get when you know they’re ‘the one. I wanted to use a lot of live instruments for this specific track because I wanted to keep the song organic sounding, similar to how real love is built,” – Joe Ghost
