After a Four Month Wait, Rell the Soundbender is Here With His “Diablo EP”

Man Rell, we have been waiting a long time for this EP to finally drop. Finally following up after the initial single back in October ’17, we finally have the teased Diablo EP from Rell the Soundbender over on Insomniac. How did Rell earn his title, you ask? Well, Rell is known for bending unique sounds together and making magic…even if you couldn’t fathom how the sounds were mixed. His mixes and tracks are dynamic and flow so well that you wouldn’t even think twice. Due to this unique style, Rell has quickly gained success, even being featured numerous times on mega-producer Diplo’s mixes.

While we were originally teased with “Diablo House” back around Halloween, the spooky and mechanical tone does flow and fill up most of the EP. However, as true to Rell the Soundbender’s title, this entire EP serves as a tribute to the art of genre splicing and manipulation. We have the dark and murderous “Heat” on one end of the spectrum, meeting in the middle with the overtly mechanical “Loboz”; and then reaching the other side with a bit of Latin hybridization in “Baja”. Each track is produced quite fantastically and flow into each other seamlessly so you can grind out to this entire Diablo EP in one sitting.
