It’s Time to Thrive With Joe Ghost’s “Believe In You”
We at MiR is back with a brand new track from yet another new label to the MiR family. Wrapping up this weekend we have the latest from Joe Ghost, “Believe In You”, over on Thrive Records. Hailing from a grand northern neighbor, Joe Ghost blazed onto the scene in 2013 with Hardwell and their track “Are You Ready”, which was named one of the most popular songs of the year by DJ MAG. Ghost has been tearing up the scene since, punching out hit after hit on multiple different labels such as Dim Mak and Musical Freedom. Ghost has continued to move on with the times, changing up his style with a new modern sound. With a LP in the works, we can’t wait to see what Ghost has to offer for us in the future.
Now moving on the track, “Believe In You” is a fantastic example of how an artist can change and evolve over the course of their careers. With roots in vocal and deep house, the track is quite the difference from the big room hits such as “On The Floor” that fans have come to love. “Believe In You” isn’t mundane, its funky with fantastic percussion and vocal work that could be argued to have roots within R&B.
“I felt as though I’d put myself into a conceptual box that only had enough room for one genre. I’ve stepped out of that box and wanted to make the kind of music that I listen to. I don’t think my followers will see this coming, which is the part that excites me most!” – Joe Ghost
