Festival Season On the Horizon, Nicky Romero Drops “Stay” Festival Mix, Big Room Dance Crossover
Nowadays, when you drop just a single version of your new track it is almost guaranteed your audience wants a new and different version. This week we stopped off at Protocol Recordings for a brand new festival mix of Nicky Romero‘s “Stay”. Romero is one of the modern producers to change and mold today’s electronic music scene how he sees fit. Not only has he founded one of the most prolific modern electronic music movements, but he is also constantly on DJ Mag’s Top 100 list year after year and has attributed heavily to the global spread of electronic music. Romero continues to surprise us, even dropping a mini-doc series back in 2019 and multiple successful releases now that he’s back on the wagon. Hell, he even put on one hell of a performance at the London opening of the Call of Duty League eSports tournament!
One of our favorite elements about making electronic music in this day in age is that if you have a different vision for your track after its initial release, you can simply drop a new version. A personal enhancement for us over the original version, Romero applied his signature progressive house style to the dance crossover hit. In preparation for this summer’s festival season, Romero’s new festival mix is perfect for the big room atmosphere needed to dominate arenas and major outdoor venues. With basslines ready to rock the venue and melodies filled to the brim with enery, this festival mix is already getting us excited for summer!
