DØBER and RayRay Join Forces For Their Hard-Hitting Start to 2021 “Bounce”
While a few artists we’ve featured are starting off 2021 with plenty of energy, not everyone is starting off the year with a hard-hitting bang! On our latest trip over to Protocol we snagged a sneak peek of “Bounce”, the newest single from producers DØBER and RayRay. With DØBER officially debuting on the label, his tech-house production is a much-needed addition to the roster and providing a break from the progressive. Now that DØBER found his place in the roster, there are plenty of other producers and artists ready and waiting for this tech-house newcomer. DØBER joined forces with the talented Taiwanese producer RayRay, who has been making waves over on Yellow Claw’s Barong Family. Officially joining their roster back in 2018, RayRay has since performed during major festivals such as ADE and SXSW. She is no stranger to Protocol either, as she already worked with Marc Benjamin on “My Swag”.
When you take two different signature styles like DØBER’s and RayRay’s, they could either seamlessly fuse together or become an absolutely out of sync mess. However, this collaboration takes each of the producers’ strengths and gives them each time to shine without stepping on each other’s toes. Utilizing DØBER’s intense basslines as the basis, RayRay’s hard-hitting synth work takes its turn under the spotlight to keep up the rhythm of the track. “Bounce” also features an earworm vocal hook performed by RayRay herself, as she has been featuring her singing in original works for some time now. While we may not have a grimy dancefloor to vibe and “bounce” along with this drop right now, we will definitely fit it into our party rotation soon enough.
