CASANDRA UNVEILS NEW EP ‘ISLA TRANQUILITA’
CASANDRA is a Miami-born, Los Angeles-based artist whose work feels like both a mirror and a refuge—an intimate space where imagination, sensuality, healing, and freedom all blur together. Homeschooled for much of her childhood, she developed a rich inner world early on, one that still anchors her creative process today. That sense of introspection shows up in her music as emotional clarity and vulnerability, inviting listeners into something that feels both deeply personal and universally resonant.
She’s been releasing music since her teenage years, steadily building a body of work defined by independence and emotional depth rather than trends or industry cycles. Over nearly a decade, CASANDRA has grown in public view alongside her audience, many of whom have followed her through different eras of her life and artistry. The result is a rare kind of connection—one where her music doesn’t just mark time, but actively evolves with the people listening to it.

CASANDRA’s new 6-track EP ISLA TRANQUILITA (“little island of peace”) feels like a deeply personal sanctuary brought to life. Dedicated to her late great aunt Teresa, a Cuban émigré who was a grounding presence throughout her childhood in Miami, the project is shaped by memory, care, and quiet resilience. The phrase “tranquilita,” something her aunt would say in moments of overwhelm as a gentle reminder to pause and breathe, becomes the emotional center of the EP—an idea CASANDRA has carried with her for years and now translates into sound.
Sonically, ISLA TRANQUILITA lives in contrast, blending bright, rhythmic production with intimate, reflective storytelling across alt-pop, R&B, and electronic textures. Written in both English and Spanish, it draws from her Cuban heritage to build a world that feels expansive and transportive while still emotionally precise. Created during a physically and emotionally difficult period, the EP became a form of healing as much as expression, marking what CASANDRA describes as the beginning of her most authentic era—one where she fully recognizes herself and invites listeners into that same sense of calm, clarity, and self-discovery.
