Cade Hoppe Reveals New Single “Crashland”
Hoppe’s path into music was far from traditional. While studying finance and playing basketball at New York University, he found himself increasingly pulled toward songwriting and production. When the pandemic hit, he decided to pursue music full-time, supporting his early releases through service industry jobs as he developed his sound as both an artist and producer. After spending seven years in New York City, Hoppe recently relocated to Los Angeles, where he continues to expand his emotionally driven style while taking on more production work for other artists.
He first introduced that cinematic, introspective approach on his 2021 debut EP, Tell Me How It’s Worth It, before building on it with Everything That’s Wrong with You in 2022 and Just Look At The Moon in 2023. Along the way, Hoppe has earned support from outlets like Notion, Ones To Watch, and EARMILK, cementing his place as an emerging voice with a talent for pairing vulnerable songwriting with immersive production.

Built around warm grooves, shimmering guitars, and an anthemic chorus, Hoppe’s “Crashland” is a soaring indie-pop track about two star-crossed lovers pursuing a connection despite knowing it may not last. Produced by Hoppe alongside Harper James, the song balances euphoric energy with emotional vulnerability, capturing the irresistible pull of ignoring the warning signs and choosing to learn the hard way.
Following “Still Turn This Around” and “Lake Michigan,” “Crashland” offers another preview of Hoppe’s forthcoming album, Safer at a Distance. The project explores his evolving relationship with music, ambition, love, and uncertainty, documenting an artist searching for meaning without pretending to have all the answers.
