Cade Hoppe Returns With New Single “Still Turn This Around”

Hoppe’s route into music wasn’t exactly a straight line. He started out studying finance and playing college basketball at NYU, but over time songwriting and production slowly took over his attention. That shift really locked in during the pandemic, when he decided to go all in on music. He supported himself with service industry jobs in New York while building out his early sound—writing and producing late at night, figuring out how to turn that emotional pull into something fully formed. After about seven years in NYC, he’s since moved to Los Angeles, where he’s continuing to grow both as an artist and as a producer working with other musicians.

He first broke through in 2021 with Tell Me How It’s Worth It, which set the tone for his style—cinematic, vulnerable, and pretty unfiltered emotionally. That carried through his follow-ups, Everything That’s Wrong with You in 2022 and Just Look At The Moon in 2023, each one feeling like another step deeper into that world he’s building. Along the way, he’s picked up support from outlets like Notion, Ones To Watch, and EARMILK, steadily carving out a lane that leans into that emotional, late-night kind of songwriting.

You don’t know where you’re going or how to get there, and every added mile is an extra mile if you ever decide to turn back. It’s like Newton’s fourth law (probably): forward momentum + paralyzing indecision = keep going.

Cade Hoppe returns with “Still Turn This Around,” a cinematic, emotionally raw indie-pop single that sits in that uncomfortable space between ambition and doubt. At its core, the track is about the feeling of moving forward without really knowing if you’re headed in the right direction—or if you even have the option to stop and go back. With expansive, atmospheric production layered under introspective writing, it captures that quiet tension of chasing a dream while questioning what it’s costing you along the way.

Written and self-produced over the span of several years, the song evolved alongside the ideas behind his forthcoming album Safer at a Distance. The project leans into that same emotional gray area, exploring Hoppe’s relationship with music, ambition, and uncertainty in a way that feels more reflective than resolved. As he puts it, it’s basically forward momentum meeting paralyzing indecision—so you just keep going, even when you’re not entirely sure where it leads.
