Bass Maestro CloZee Drops 1st Compilation “Emergence” , Leading the Next Gen Wave of Artists
When you are an aspiring producer and you submit your early works to a label, you have no idea where it could lead. On our latest visit over to Gravitas Recordings we are checking out Emergence, a brand new album curated by the talented CloZee. The woman behind the moniker, Chloe Herry, first caught the attention of Gravitas back in 2013. An aspiring producer in her own right, CloZee submitted a remix for Mr. Bill’s Cheyah remix competition, having high hopes of stretching her creative muscles. Even though she placed second, Gravitas’s label boss Jesse Brede knew she had talent and that Gravitas had to be her home. Over the years since Gravitas has published multiple releases of CloZee’s, including Revolution, Harmony, and Evasion. Now a major player in the global bass music scene and with multiple albums, EPs, and plenty of singles under her belt, CloZee returns for her very first compilation.
While CloZee is ready to venture out on the next step in her career with her new imprint Odyzey Records, CloZee wanted to come back to Gravitas with a goal in mind. CloZee’s very first compilation, Emergence, features a collection of artist that are primed and ready to be apart of the next wave of great producers and musicians. Seemlessly combining established producers with emerging artists, Emergence is all about the discovery of new talent for your rotation. CloZee hand-selected fifteen tracks for your pleasure, including tracks from producers such as Fakear and Essseks while giving rising stars like NotLö and capshun the same stage. Our personal favorite actually goes to Habitaat, whose new track “Down For It” combines the beautiful side of bass music with sounds of nature to create absolutely stellar chill bass beats.
