Award-Winning Australian Producer Hayden James Teams Up with Platinum-Selling Bipolar Sunshine on New Single “For The Girls.” Out Now via broke Records

Award-winning Australian producer and DJ Hayden James has spent the past decade establishing himself as one of electronic music’s most recognizable voices, blending melodic house, pop sensibilities, and emotive songwriting into a sound that has amassed more than a billion streams worldwide. Breaking through with 2014’s Gold-certified anthem “Something About You,” Hayden went on to score major successes with tracks including the triple-platinum “Numb” featuring GRAACE, as well as “Better Together” and “Just Friends.” His debut album, Between Us (2019), earned critical acclaim and an ARIA Awards nomination, while its accompanying live show launched an extensive global touring career.

Hayden has continued to evolve through acclaimed releases such as 2022’s Lifted, collaborations with artists including Gorgon City, Elderbrook, and Cassian, and his third studio album, We Could Be Love (2023). Alongside international headline performances, festival appearances, and his intimate Just Friends pop-up parties, Hayden remains a driving force in contemporary electronic music, with 2026 already shaping up to be another milestone year fueled by new singles, collaborations, and touring plans.

This record went through so many versions, but it all finally came together in a session with Bipolar Sunshine and Chris Lorenzo. I’ve never had a reaction to an unreleased record like I’ve had with ‘For The Girls‘ – I’m really excited to put this one out.” – Hayden James

Australian producer Hayden James returns with “For The Girls,” a new collaboration with platinum-selling singer-songwriter Bipolar Sunshine, out now via broke Records. Serving as Hayden’s second release on the label following April’s “One I Want,” the track embraces a stripped-back, tech-house aesthetic, pairing a driving groove with Bipolar Sunshine’s soulful vocals to create a record built for late-night club moments.

“For The Girls” took shape over numerous studio sessions before finally clicking during a writing session with Chris Lorenzo, a breakthrough Hayden describes as one of the strongest reactions he has ever had to an unreleased song. The collaboration unites two seasoned artists, with Hayden continuing his run as one of Australia’s most-streamed electronic acts and Bipolar Sunshine bringing a résumé that includes Grammy-winning songwriting credits and a platinum-certified hit alongside DJ Snake.
