ARMADA: VASSY is Back With Latest Collab, “Somebody New” W/ Sultan + Shepard
Woah, we haven’t had this label visit us in quite a while. To kick off your Saturday night vibes we have “Somebody New”, the latest from VASSY over on Armada Music. The young Australian artist has been making a name for herself over the year, with her fantastic collaborations with the likes of Tiesto, Showtek, David Guetta, and now Sultan + Shepard! Vassy’s incredible vocal work has been the cherry on top to many hit tracks, such as her “Secrets” with Tiesto and KSHMR, which eventually reached the six times platinum rank from the RIAA.
“Somebody New” easily serves its place as the next fantastic collaboration in VASSY’s catalog. The track doesn’t just fit VASSY’s style that she has molded over the years but also feels incredibly intimate at the same time. VASSY’s supreme vocal work mashes easily with the progressive house mold that was created by superior producers Sultan + Shepard, with all of the empty spaces being filled with sweet electric top lines and a groovy beat to wrap it up in a bow.
“I’m so excited about this new release with Armada Music and Sultan + Shepard; “Somebody New” has a different vibe to all of my other songs. I always have fun in the studio with these two talented guys and, having had success alongside David Guetta with our multi-platinum record “Bad“, I wanted to create a unique sound and something intimate for the fans, revealing a more vulnerable side.” – VASSY
