After Over 2-year Wait, Bass Music Maestro Zomboy Releases Highly Anticipated “Dead Man Walking Pt. 2” EP. Out Now on His Rott n’ Roll Records
Zomboy’s musical journey is a remarkable tale of transformation, transitioning from a small English village to a pioneering role in electronic music. Initially a drummer in rock and metal bands, Zomboy’s life took a fortuitous turn when a car accident settlement enabled him to establish a home studio. This pivotal moment led to his career as an engineer for various bands and intensive music studies at the ACM in London. His talent shone through when he uploaded demo tracks to SoundCloud, catching the attention of SKisM, founder of Never Say Die Records, who recognized his potential.
From there, Zomboy’s career skyrocketed, with electrifying performances at iconic venues like London’s Ministry Of Sound and major festivals, as well as chart-topping tracks such as “Terror Squad” and “Like A Bitch.” His music, often described as “cinematic violence,” has garnered over 750 million streams and consistent placements in the Beatport Top 100. In 2022, he further solidified his influence by launching Rott N’ Roll Records. Zomboy’s journey serves as an inspiration, showcasing how passion, talent, and unwavering determination can propel an artist from modest beginnings to becoming an industry innovator.
“After a journey marked by unexpected setbacks and profound personal growth, ‘Dead Man Walking Pt. 2‘ is finally here. Though it took longer than planned, the time allowed the music and vision to evolve in ways I never imagined. I’m beyond excited to share this second chapter with you, a labor of love that was as rewarding to create as it is to release. Every note and visual tells a piece of the story from the Zomboy cinematic universe, and I hope it resonates with you as deeply as it has with me. Stay tuned.” – Zomboy
*Dead Man Walking Part 2* by Zomboy expands the saga that began in 2022, marking a powerful milestone for his label, Rott N’ Roll Records. This five-track EP kicks off with “Fallout,” where stabbing synths and intense energy establish a dystopian atmosphere, setting the tone for an audacious bass-heavy journey. With “D.E.A.D.,” featuring EDDIE, Zomboy layers aggressive bass, video-game-inspired breaks, and ghostly female vocals, drawing listeners into a dark, cinematic soundscape. “Project Z” delivers a futuristic edge with grimy synth drops that evoke an industrial, otherworldly energy.
As the EP progresses, “Delete Me” channels punk rock’s rebellious vibe through bass-heavy production and eerie vocal distortions, amplifying the EP’s aggression. Finally, “Inhumation” wraps up the experience with a hauntingly soft, symphonic close, blending elements of emo and punk that offer a tender contrast to the preceding tracks. The EP showcases Zomboy’s depth and evolving creativity, merging cinematic and raw bass music to create an intense, immersive listening experience.
